GRD CE Scheme has set a precedent for non-English speakers as safety is everyone's responsibility.

Abdulwahed joined the GRD CE Programme in May 2021.  He is from Libya and has very little English.   Through the support of his CE Supervisor, the relevant Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) were translated into Arabic with funding provided under the SICAP programme.  Moreover, Abdulwahed was keen to complete the Hand Held Pesticide Application QQI Level 5 and this was made possible through the assistance of an Interpreter that was sourced by his Supervisor and also funded under the SICAP programme.

He is currently attending English classes for Absolute Beginners as part of his Individual Learning Plan. Well done to Abdulwahed .
